Galinho starts his career in the 2023 Cup
Ituano Futebol Clube’s 2023 sporting season will get underway this Wednesday (04) at 0:04 when the Base kids start off the So Paulo Junior Football Cup against Desportivo Brasil.

At Ernesto Rocco Stadium, kickoff is scheduled at 3 p.m. Ituano, Desportivo Brasil, CRB in Alagoas, and Cambori in Santa Catarina are all members of Group 21 this season.

Galinho made his Copinha debut in 1996 and participated sporadically up to 2000. Since 2014, the club has participated directly and yearly in the competition, with the exception of 2021, when it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2016, Ituano gave his best performance to date. Santos/AP (1-0), Desportiva Ferroviária/ES (3-2) Grêmio/RS (1-2) Ponte Preta (2-1) Grêmio (3-0), Avai (2-0), and Corinthians (1-6) were the remaining teams in the campaign when it was terminated. The team’s success rate for that year was 71%.

A number of Ituano athletes that participated in the Copinha, including Gabriel Baralhas, Gui Mendes, Rodrigo Bassani, and Léo Duarte, went on to have successful professional careers. Gabriel Barros, Bernardo Schappo, and Gabriel Martinelli are responsible for the biggest revelations to far.
